James Schwartz, DDS
Dr. Schwartz completed both college and dental school in Pennsylvania. He graduated from Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia before serving as an active duty dentist in the US Navy. During his service, he was stationed with the Marines at Quantico, Virginia.
Following four years of active duty, he and his wife remained in Virginia so he could establish a private practice in rural Stafford County. This rural environment required him to practice the full spectrum of general dentistry. Consequently, his experience includes pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, root canals, orthodontics, and dentures.
His connection to Greensboro dates back to 1979 when his family first moved to the area. Dr. Schwartz and his wife have five adult children and currently have six grandchildren. The couple shares a specific interest in living in and restoring historic homes. This includes their Virginia home built in 1852 and their Greensboro home built in 1910. When not working, Dr. Schwartz enjoys skiing and golf. He also spends time hunting and has recently taken up flyfishing and pickleball.
Dr. Matthew M. Miller, DDS
Dr. Matthew M. Miller graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 2007 and was commissioned as an Officer in the United States Navy, where he holds the rank of Lieutenant Commander. During his naval career, he completed a General Practice Residency and an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Exodontia Fellowship.
Dr. Miller held key leadership roles, serving as both dental and intern medical department head on a US Naval warship. He is certified in moderate conscious IV sedation and has completed extensive continuing education in oral surgery and advanced implant dentistry. His professional experience includes practice at numerous Naval and Marine Corps hospitals, clinics, and ships, in addition to many years in the civilian sector.
Dr. Miller enjoys providing dental and oral surgical care to patients of all ages and is dedicated to making them feel at ease. In his spare time, he enjoys being with his wife and two children.
Dr. Alexandra Rihani, DDS, MS
Dr. Alexandra Rihani is a highly skilled endodontist dedicated to preserving natural teeth through advanced, patient-centered care. With a passion for precision and a calming approach
to treatment, Dr. Rihani specializes in root canal therapy and endodontic procedures designed to relieve pain, restore oral health, and help patients maintain their smiles for life.
Dr. Rihani earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree before pursuing advanced specialty training in endodontics, where she also received a Master of Science (MS). Her training focused on the latest techniques in microscopic endodontics, rotary instrumentation, and complex case management, allowing her to treat even the most challenging cases with confidence and accuracy.
Known for her gentle demeanor and clear communication, Dr. Rihani takes time to ensure each patient feels informed, comfortable, and at ease throughout their treatment. She understands that many patients feel anxious about root canals, and she is committed to transforming that experience into one that is efficient, comfortable, and positive.
At Westover Dental Group, Dr. Rihani works closely with the general dentistry team to provide seamless, collaborative care. Her goal is to support long-term oral health by saving natural teeth whenever possible and delivering outcomes that enhance both function and quality of life.

Matthew Davis, DMD
Dr. Matthew Davis as our newest addition to the practice. A North Carolina native, Dr. Davis has considered Havelock, NC home the last 18yrs. He graduated from the University of New England College of Dental Medicine in Portland, Maine. Dr. Davis frequently attends continuing education courses to further his knowledge of dentistry. He was the Co-President of the local Craven-Jones-Pamlico County Dental Society along with his twin brother. In his free time, he loves traveling to new places, sailing and fishing.
